Today was not very eventful. Had to have a physical for my Agauma (residence card for Saudi Arabia) early this morning. The clinics look like something out of old movies or illegal clinics. Kind of scary and then you can hardly communicate with them. They told me to go to room 14 and I thought they said 40 so I was walking around the building lost on the first floor and Mike was like maybe we need to go up the stairs. We finally found the right spot 14.
Then came back and went to the pool for a couple of hours and got my peep hole installed and a few other tasks completed.
I did line up the House Boy to start on Saturday. His name is Devis. I also spoke to the gardener about getting some plants. I don't what will live in this heat though. We shall see.
I then ventured to the Mall of Dharan today on the bus by myself. My goal was to get a cell phone and my sunglasses fixed. Unsuccessful in both areas. I didn't understand a pay as you go plan plus a monthly fee. Just didn't add up in my head. I will wait for Mike to handle that. The sunglasses I will somehow have to get them shipped to Maui Jim and have them shipped back to my Dad's house for when I go home. They just need nose grips but they don't have the same type here. Go figure.
The malls here are very large and have plenty of good shopping. It is definitely shoe and purse heaven. I guess that is all that the Saudi women expose so they cater to them.
So that was my day in Saudi. Today is our Friday so the Thursday and Friday is the weekend.
