March 6th

Today I went to a newcomers social for ILV and got to meet some very
nice ladies. A few of us went for lunch afterwards and it was very
humorous.... another lady and myself ordered fried rice with meat and
eggroll. Welllllll.... it was steamed white rice and an egg omelet
with some pork in it rolled up!!! there is your egg roll.... haha

Our shipment is being delivered on Friday so looking forward to
getting things in place and moving in! Wooo hoo... it may feel like
home. Actually we will be echoing for a while since we have no
furniture. The house has a little sofa and chair, dinning table and
bed in the master bedroom! The rest we will have to fill in. Lots of
shopping to do!

March 5th

Today was a hectic day but I feel like things are starting to fall
into place. We have a security guard, gardener/pool guy now we just
need a housekeeper. There are many to select from so that shouldn't
be too hard.

I had my first haircut here in HCMC and it wasn't a bad experience at
all. The shampoo (which was a head and shoulder massage) was great
and the haircut isn't bad either all for 90,000 VND... under $10 USD.
Not sure how the tipping works but I gave them each 50,000 VND which
is $2.50 USD. I need to get this all figured out!

I am here alone for the next couple of weeks as Mike is traveling but
I seem to be getting along just fine. Tomorrow I will go to a new
comers social for ILV... ladies social club here in Vietnam. On
Thursday morning I will go to there weekly coffee morning and then on
Friday they are hosting a tiarra cocktail party! So I will be very
busy and meeting many new ladies.
