August 30th

I am spending the week at the beach..... very relaxing.  Saturday and Sunday were beautiful today is a little bit cloudy.  Still early so it may brighten up.  Getting ready to take a bike ride this morning.

 

My days are winding down here in the states.  I will be leaving NOLA on September 15th heading to Houston and then onto Amsterdam for a few days of travel and back to Saudi on September 28th.

August 8th

 

Corks N Canvas August 4th... finally got the group picture.

We had fun and some of us will be going back on the 20th.

 

Today Joe Joe and I went grocery shopping and I've been a busy bee in the kitchen.  Stuffed bell peppers, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and baked mac and cheese.  So Joe Joe and Bren are very happy that I cooked for them today.  They are so use to eating out every meal and by the time I leave they are going to be spoiled and really miss home cooked meals.

 

 

August 6th - Ladies Night

Well the girls went out for "Ladies Night" at the Royal Palm on the westbank and I must say we had a good time laughing.  It was very CHEESEY..... I am so glad that I am not part of the bar scene. 

We had lots of good laughs.

Can't say that I will go back on a Thursday but the place is definitely very nice and the appetizers were delicious.

August 4th

Tonight we went to Corks N Canvas..... I have posted my painting and waiting for the pics of our group.  It was Bettie, Sam, Angela, Danielle, Shane, Jessica and myself.  We really enjoyed ourselves. 

 

It was very relaxing to do a 2 hour painting instead of the 3 hour painting we did last time.

 

 

Going back on the 19th for a house painting and the 20th for a sunflower painting.

I know I haven't been updating the blog but I have been extremely busy.  Love being home with family and friends but it is like I am living in a constant whirlwind. 

 

Been keeping busy with Gretchen's baby shower as well.  It will be on August 22nd and I just want everything to be perfect. 

 

Went to dinner with a couple of friends tonight and the attached pic was taken by Bettie.  Tomorrow we are going to Corks N Canvas so look for all of the paintings by the future Picasso's.
